Today I’m wearing:
- The Dress
- A dark blue tea dress thing that I bought for my 24th birthday celebrations. We went for afternoon tea that year.
- A couple of bangles made of some unknown dark wood. I bought them in a market in Durban.
- That’s about it, really. Tights and brogues, but I wear those everyday.
It was a muggy day outside. It’s not actually that hot but we’ve been so deprived of warmth recently that everyone is sort of like “wahey, show some skin!” Including me, apparently. I didn’t really intend this, but for once the temperature is on my side. I had to dress and pack in a hurry this morning, flinging clothes willy-nilly into a bag. I’m hoping that I’ve packed 3 workable Dress combinations for the weekend, else I’m going to look a bit odd.
Today’s outfit was a little last-minute as I dressed in the dark. You can barely see the Dress, but who really cares? People have other things to worry about than my dressing habits.
The above picture is just so unflattering. I’ve got five chins and no teeth. Can you zoom in and have a look? I’ve put it up because I don’t think I look like this, but my A has just told me that is what I look like. Ah, the joys of long term bliss. I need alternative opinions, if anyone fancies having a look.
I’m on day 22 now. That’s 22 days of writing and photographing. If you haven’t donated, please do. You definitely have proof that I’ve worn the silly thing. It’s been really hard this year, much harder than previous years. I have to keep reminding myself why I’m doing this, and remembering my Nan. That sort of helps, but it’s still been pretty challenging.

I’m too warm and very sleepy. I’ll recharge and come back tomorrow.
