Today I’m wearing:
- The Dress;
- long-sleeved white t-shirt because I quite liked having warm arms yesterday;
- vintage Primarni satin tulip bubble skirt (enough fashion buzzwords there?)
- stripy tights because I will, I can and I do.
I’m decidedly monochrome today and I like it.
I put ‘quite exciting tights’ into Google and came up with these’uns. They’re part of my cunning plan: if you wear exciting tights then no-one notices you’re wearing the same dress as yesterday. And the day before. And the day before that. And…
I’ve been studying faces as I’ve walked around today, gauging the reaction to the tights; people have actually been unashamedly staring at my legs. Well, they have been until they look up and find me staring at them staring at me. I find they break the eye contact pretty swiftly.

They’re from The Tight Spot and there are many, many more exciting tights to be found on their site. They aided me when Topshop had only black. The only downside is my now wrinkly knees. How do you cure wrinkly tight knees?
I was in the paper today!

Very exciting stuff. My nan was so pleased she went and bought multiple copies for familial distribution. The reaction has overall been very nice and positive, with only one snidey comment (‘David of York’, I’d like to see you wear the same dress 31 days in a row. Go ahead, make my day).
It’s so good for raising the profile of Womankind, and we’ve now raised over £100! I raised my target to £400. I have no idea if we’ll hit it (I need you for that bit), but I’m going to do my darnedest.
It’s Friday night, and if you’re feeling generous (or even if you’re not) please please go to justgiving.com/caitlinsdress. Or you can text ODOM50 £5 to 70070. Either way, your money will make a huge difference, and make me a happy chap. What more could you want?
Thank you SO much to those who’ve already donated; you’re all stars.
